Incheon has a big weekend ahead. PLAVE’s KEEP IT MANIC world tour opens on September 12–13, 2026, with events at Incheon Munhak Stadium. A virtual idol group taking its performances into a stadium makes for a fascinating meeting of digital characters and a very physical crowd. Official tour announcement, Incheon on-site notice.

The people behind the characters

PLAVE’s five members are Yejun, Noah, Bamby, Eunho and Hamin. Their animated appearances can make a newcomer wonder whether software is creating the performances. The group is built around human performers whose voices and movements give the characters life, with members involved in music and performance creation. The studio is VLAST. That distinction changes how I think about watching them. The character is the way a performer reaches the audience. A voice, a joke, a particular way of moving: those are things a fan can grow familiar with over time.

For a first-time viewer, I would start with a song and then watch a longer performance or conversation. It is easier to understand the appeal when you give the members time to interact, instead of treating a short clip as a technology demonstration.

A different kind of stage

The exciting possibility of a virtual concert is that its visual world can change scale and shape around the music. A screen can become a landscape or an imagined space, while the audience remains together in a real venue.

That is what I would be watching for: how the music, characters and crowd fit together. Spectacle can catch your attention, but pacing and a sense of connection are what make a whole concert satisfying.

Where the announced tour goes

The official schedule lists Kanagawa on September 26–27, followed by Kaohsiung on October 3, Bangkok on October 10, Singapore on October 17, Taipei on October 24 and Macao on October 31. If you are heading to Incheon, read the performance and entry notices before leaving. The separate PLLI Zone is a fan activity at the auxiliary stadium; its opening hours should not be confused with concert start times. Leave enough time to find the right entrance and enjoy the atmosphere. For me, that is the most interesting part of this weekend: people who discovered a group through screens coming together to share the same songs in one place.
