About

Hi, I'm joennni, and I live in Seoul, South Korea. Moonlit Joennni is a practical guide toevents and festivals, places and food andtrends in Korea. I write for people deciding whether and how to go: visitors planning a trip, and people who already live here and want something new to do.
What you will find here
- Events: festivals, exhibitions, pop-ups and passes, with dates, places, costs and how to book.
- Places: neighborhoods, museums, cafes and restaurants, with addresses, hours, prices and directions.
- Trends: what people in Korea are talking about, explained with sources and what to watch out for.
Each post opens with the answer to the practical questions, and most have an "at a glance" box at the top.
How I check facts
- Dates, prices, hours and booking rules come from official pages and news reports that I link in each post.
- Every post says when it was checked. Pages that change often, such as events and shop hours, are updated or marked as ended.
- If I could not confirm something, the post says so instead of guessing.
- Third-party listings and search summaries are labeled as such, because they are less reliable than an official page.
- Numbers from companies or surveys are described as reported figures, not as facts about everyone in Korea.
About the photos and images
Many illustrations and hero images on this site are made with AI. Each post that uses one says so, and says that it is not a photo of the real place, product or event. Where a post uses my own photos, it says that too. I do not describe a visit, a taste or a wait unless it really happened or the details come from a source I name.
Languages
Posts are written in English and Korean. The two versions share the same facts but are written separately for each audience, so the wording is not a word-for-word translation.
Ads and independence
This site may show ads through Google AdSense. Ads do not change what I write, and no post is a paid placement. If that ever changes, the post will say so clearly.
Corrections and contact
Details change, and I make mistakes. If you find an error, such as an old price, a closed shop or a wrong date, please emailjoennni33@gmail.com with the post's title and what to fix. I will check it and update the post, and the "checked" or "updated" date will change. You can also see the contact page and the privacy policy.
