What kind of festival is it?
According to a Dailian report on July 19, a 475 m stretch of Jungang-ro in front of Gumi Station is styled as the “world’s longest ramyeon restaurant” during the festival. The programs described in that report include:
- Ramyeon restaurant booths: restaurants cooking with Nongshim noodles made the same day.
- Gumi Ramyeon Workshop: visitors make their own ramyeon.
- Freshly fried noodles: noodles fried at Nongshim’s Gumi plant.
- Hululu Lounge: a place to eat on site.
- Contests and events: a global ramyeon cooking contest, a tasting tournament and a noodle-slurping contest themed on KPop Demon Hunters.
Nongshim is confirmed as a participating brand, with Shin Ramyun, Jjapaghetti and Ansung Tangmyun mentioned. Whether Ottogi’s Jin Ramyun will take part is only an expectation in the report. The details change year to year, so check Gumi city’s notices for this year’s lineup.
What’s different this year?
According to Gyeongbuk Maeil (September 15), ramyeon restaurants grow from 25 last year to 33, and eating and convenience spaces expand.
How big was it last year?
These 2025 figures come from Dailian.
- Visitors: about 350,000, with 40.2% from outside Gumi. That is more than double the 170,000 in 2024. The first year, 2022, drew 10,000, and the next year drew 100,000.
- Packaged ramyeon sold: about 480,000, including 120,000 of the Demon Hunters edition, worth roughly ₩360 million.
- Restaurant booths: about 54,000 bowls, worth roughly ₩600 million.
- Total spending: about ₩2.86 billion.
- Transport: about 76,000 passengers used Gumi Station during the festival.
Reports say this year’s festival could pass 400,000 visitors. After last year’s crowds, plan for long lines.

Before you go
- Choose your transport first. You can take a train to Gumi Station, ride a shuttle or drive. The festival is right in front of the station, so the train is handy, but it may be crowded like last year.
- Spread out your meals. Even with more restaurants, lunch and dinner lines can be long.
- Check the report dates. Shuttle routes and fares follow the October 12 report.
